The Club de Golf Costa Brava Verde is the most welcoming of all the Costa Brava golf resorts. Its main focus is to make guests feel as though they are full time members, especially in the clubhouse. At this club, you’ll also find a world class restaurant serving up the best of Catalonia’s delicacies.Â
The 27-hole course is also welcoming to all levels of golfers, even if you’re a high handicapper, you’ll still find this course playable yet demanding. With some overlap, two very different 18-hole courses can be played – the Red (par 73) and the Green (par 70).Â
While the Red course is more challenging, the Green has its own challenges too. For example, hole 6 is an extremely long par 4 at 419 metres, and is flanked by both water and tree hazards. Generally the Green Course features a fairly leafy and hazard ridden front 9 and a more open and forgiving back 9. Wide fairways can be found throughout.Â
The Red course provides much more variety, with every hole unique, from the first to the last each hole is challenging, meaning much more technical ability is required to score well.Â
In terms of flora, the course is lined with a unique array of stone pines and cork oaks. With wide columns of trees and lofty hills in the background, it’s difficult to pick a signature hole as they’re all equally as scenic. Golf breaks in the Costa Brava don’t get more picturesque than this. The grass is healthy and well maintained and as you’ll find on most Costa Brava golf courses, doesn’t suffer from the intense heat found on the more southerly Spanish golf courses.
Club de Golf Costa Brava is located just 10 minutes from the beautiful Catalunyan coastline and the resorts of Platja d’Aro, Sant Feliu de Guixols and S’Agaro. The large regional City of Girona and the Airport is just 30 minutes away. To get to Barcelona is achieved in just over 1 hour 10 minutes meaning this area is very well connected to everything you’d need for varying golf trips. The neighbouring Golf d’Aro is only 20 mins away offering a different golf challenge locally.
