Golf Terramar is located in the small town of Sitges just outside the capital city. Out of all the Barcelona golf resorts, this one features the best weather conditions for golf thanks to Sitges’ microclimate. Although it’s right next to the sea, all you can expect is a light sea breeze – your ball won’t be blown off astray.
Club de Golf Terramar is also notable for being relatively easy and suitable for all handicaps. It’s mostly flat and features healthy, workable grass. While there are a few bunkers, pine trees, and a significant water hazard on hole 16, concentration is all you need to get a good score on this course.
The course dates back to the 1920s and was originally opened as a 9-hole course. Since then, it has extended to an 18-hole course. Although it’s well-known, it’s not as popular as the other Barcelona golf courses, so you may find it to be quiet – especially in the shoulder seasons of the year.

Although it is one of the easiest, the third hole is generally regarded as being the course’s signature shot, thanks to its positioning right next to the ocean. This par 72 course is considered to be one of the best in Barcelona for women’s competitions, having played host to the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open.
