The Dom Pedro Millennium Course comprises 9 holes that were previously part of the Laguna Course and 9 new holes that were added in the year 2000 to create a new 18-hole golf course.
For those thinking Millennium represents an easier challenge, be warned, there are still several hazards to catch any golfer out who tries to get too cute with their approach play.
Water can be found on both the 17th and 18th holes, so treat them with respect and play sensibly, and you should be fine.
For all the talk of Millennium being open, there are still several narrower holes where accuracy over power is required.
Holes 3-7 meander through plenty of pine trees, making for a wonderful backdrop, but don’t be surprised if you get stuck behind one of those “wonderful” pine trees should your drive be more on the erratic side.
Is Millennium the best in golf course Vilamoura? No, that crown probably goes to Dom Pedro’s Victoria course or Vale do Lobo Royal, but the green-fee prices reflect that, as it’s at least 35%- 55% cheaper to play at Millennium than either of the aforementioned courses.
If you fancy a more forgiving round of golf that won’t break the bank, Dom Pedro’s Millennium course is worthy of a visit.
