Anfi Tauro Golf is located close to Puerto Rico in Southern Gran Canaria, was opened in 2007 and created by renowned course designers Van Hagge, Smelek & Baril. Von Hagge’s projects stand out for their style, subtle elegance and outstanding beauty of which Anfi Tauro is definitely a perfect example. Anfi Tauro is modelled on the Arizona style of course, well suited to arid areas like Gran Canaria and featuring a blend of palm trees, rocks and sandy areas studded with cactus as opposed to a traditional rough.
Another feature of this course is each hole has six tee boxes, thus offering a highly competitive game suitable for people with varied handicap levels. The breathtaking landscape here offers stunning sea views and a spectacular landscape of palm trees, lakes and volcanic mountains, a true impeccably maintained PGA Championship course.
Facilities at Anfi Tauro are unrivalled in the Canary Islands, the driving range is regarded as one of the very best as it allows play from both ends. There’s a 9 Hole par 3 Course (no HCP required), a putting green and chipping area, a restaurant with terrace and fully stocked pro shop. All Buggies use the visage GPS system to assist with distances and navigation.
