That’s not to say that Balaia isn’t without its challenges. There are water hazards, fountains and streams, all strategically placed to catch even the most experienced golfer out should you switch off for a moment.
Balaia won’t suit those looking for that pure golfing experience, and there are far more challenging courses in the area. That said, it’s well maintained, with challenging greens and bunkers aplenty.
Balaia golf course is par 27 and measures 2152 yards off the yellows and 1918 off the red tees. Because no handicap certificate is required, it’s the perfect course to bring non-golfers along to, to have a go. It’s also a great course to bring your family for a relaxed and friendly round, with club and trolley hire available upon request.
The pricing reflects the fact that it’s a par-3 course as well. 18 holes cost as little as €35 per person, and club rental is only €20. A perfect introductory course for those wanting to explore the world of golf.
