The Cornelia Golf Club is one of the most unique golf courses in Turkey given that there are three routes you can follow. With 27 holes in total, you can either take the King Course (holes 1-18), the Queen Course (holes 10-27) or the Prince Course (holes 1-9 and 19-27). Whichever route you choose, you’re in for an exciting and challenging course.
However, you won’t get many chances to use a driver throughout. Instead, you’ll need to implement planning and precision in order to score well.
The designer, Nick Faldo, made the most of the surrounding pine forests and sandy layout when designing this course. The trees create nice corridors to several of the holes, and the sandy slopes create natural hazards. There are also several large lakes around holes 20-27.
The 2nd hole is aptly titled “Corridor” as it’s flanked with trees right along the double dog leg layout.
The signature hole was picked out by the designer of the course himself. The 7th, which is also known as “Faldo’s Choice”, features several pine trees that stand tall in front of the putting green.
The Bermuda grass grows well throughout the year and ensures that the Cornelia is appropriate for both summer and winter golf.
This facility is also considered to be one of the best golf hotels in Turkey, with its adjoining resort and spa. Since opening in 2006, this venue has become a go to destination for premium golf holidays in Turkey.
