Fuertaventura Golf club was designed by the famous architect Juan Caterineau and was the first course opened on the Island. Famous for a warm sunny climate and offering golf 365 days of the year with an average temperature of 22 degrees Celsius.
The general club facilities include a well stocked Pro shop, hotel, bars and restaurants, equipment storage, changing rooms with showers, lockers and toilets. Also a sauna, gym, paddle court and swimming pool. Exceptional practice areas offering a driving range with more than 50 bays, a large 800 m2 practice putting green, a green approach chipping area and practice bunker.
The Course itself is always very well kept and can be considered one of the finest in the Canary islands. The route starts with direction towards the sea, holes 1-10 offer vast sweeping views of the ocean and holes 11-18 make their way back towards the start. Another feature of the course are the 3 lakes connected by a small riverbed. The fairways, tees and rough all feature pristine grass and the course intertwines between 67 shallow bunkers, with forgiving fairways up to 50m wide and spacious, undulating tricky greens.
