Campo de Golf El Saler is considered one of the top 10 golf courses in Valencia. It has a huge reputation and is frequented by both professionals and amateurs alike. Once considered the best course in continental Europe, El Saler remains a challenging course, even for professionals. Each hole consists of several terrains and lofty pines flank many. Some of the elevated greens are difficult to locate and there are some tricky doglegs. Hole number 8 has the most significant kink in it. The bunkers are also steep and challenging to get out of.Â
You’ll encounter short and long par 4s and par 3s throughout the course. Out of the 18 holes, the 17th is considered the best. It was even featured in the book the 500 World’s Greatest Golf Holes by George Peper.Â
Originally built in 1968, the par 72 course was designed by Javier Arana, the legendary Spanish architect. The Mediterranean Sea can be seen from several holes, and there are even several beach links throughout the course.Â
