Designed in 1987 by the famous course architect Pepe Gancedo and later remodelled by golf professional Manuel Piñero in 2005, Golf del Sur is located on the South coast of the Canary Island of Tenerife. Famous for hosting several high profile events and professional tournaments over recent years the course has a rich pedigree and reputation as one of the best in the area for pristine course conditions.
The Links course is somewhat more technical than the North course due to the varied shape of the greens and several water hazards. Almost all the holes on this track require a very precise tee shot, and perfectly executed approaches. All holes as challenging as they can bet are however softened by the views on offer. Golfers can take in vast panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean, and a calming sensation with gentle sea breezes.
The course offers fantastic facilities with all club and buggy rentals available alongside a well stocked pro shop, clubhouse with bar and restaurant and excellent practice facilities.Â
