When it comes to Valencia golf holidays, you’ve got a lot of legendary golf courses to choose from – Golf el Bosque being one of them. A highly technical course, el Bosque is a par 72 and boasts a length of 6,249 metres. Each of the 18 holes presents a new challenge to the player, with plenty of long holes that require precision.Â
Its challenging nature can be best proven by the 7th hole, which is 493 yards in length, slopes towards the hole, and features a dogleg near the end. Like many other holes, the putting surface is also surrounded by difficult bunkers.Â
Nearly all the fairways are flanked by trees, which intensifies the need for shot accuracy. Plus, on holes 12-15, you’ve got water hazards to manoeuvre around.Â
The course can be found at the foot of a mountain. However, don’t think that this works in your favour. Although it provides a nice backdrop, it doesn’t prevent the southeast wind from blowing your shots astray. One thing that does help your swing is the healthy grass that lines the undulating course. The course is perfectly laid out and clearly well-maintained.
It remains one of the best golf courses in Valencia thanks to the renovation work carried out in 2019. The bunkers were reconstructed and the grass was replaced with Bermuda 419. Not many golf resorts in Valencia can claim to be nearly 50 years old but also modern at the same time.
Golf el Bosque is located just 30 minutes from the heart of Valencia in the Calicanto area to the West. The Airport can be reached in just 20 minutes meaning the course is very well connected internationally. Neighbouring courses within 40 minutes include Club de Golf Esorpion and Golf D’el Saler providing other golf options in the vicinity.
