Designed in 1998 by John Jacobs Golf Ltd, and covering more than 6 square km of land, Golf Las Americas is located in the heart of Playa de las Americas one of the most famous and popular tourist resorts on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The design team prioritised water hazards, creating a very fresh environment with tricky holes and challenging golf for all levels of player.
The club and course is set within an amphitheatre shaped pocket that provides excellent protection from any strong wind due to the nearby hills. This means the natural setting and the year round warm climate enables excellent golf conditions 365 days a year. Pristine fairways and immaculate large greens run through lush gardens of palm and native dragon trees. A gentle topography makes it a course perfectly suited to gentle rounds without too much stress over climbing and decending any steep inclines. Other notable features of this beautiful course are its streams, ravines and lakes which criss cross the hole layout.
The clubhouse overlooks the 18th fairway and has a large terrace to enjoy a cold drink or meal with sweeping views out over the course. On a clear day golfers can enjoy views over towards the neighbouring Island of La Gomera.  Other facilities include practice pitching and putting greens, a driving range, trolley & buggy rentals, a delightful club house with bar terrace and restaurant, changing rooms, showers, club rentals, a fully stocked pro shop and golf lessons & tuition.
