Las Colinas is a jewel amongst the many Costa Blanca golf resorts due to its undulating topography, lush and well-kept greens, and the surrounding hills. Located in Orihuela Costa, this course boasts 18 holes spread out over 330 hectares of land.Â
While there are a number of golf courses in Costa Blanca, this particular course has been a regular award winner since it first opened in 2011. It was designed by internationally renowned course landscaper Cabell B. Robinson.Â
While the course features several bunkers and water hazards throughout, it is designed resort-style and is generally accessible to players of all skill levels. Hole one is long and demanding, but a solid drive will ensure you reach the elevated green. You need to avoid two bunkers in hole three, as well as two large lakes.Â
This course doesn’t have an established signature hole as of yet, but the final hole is a favourite of many. Skilled golfers can get this hole in two shots, as long as they avoid the bunkers and water hazards.Â
Despite the lakes and bunkers, the fairways are pretty forgiving. The wideness makes this one of the best Costa Blanca golf holidays for beginners and inexperienced golfers. Experienced players will also find this course satisfying and good for practice.Â
Las Colinas Golf and Country club is located just 1 hour from the City of Alicante with a wealth of bars, restaurants and hotel options. The international Airport is just 45 minutes from the golf course providing a very convenient travel time. The beach resorts of Cabo Roig and Dehesa de Campoamor are just 10 minutes away with some stunning sandy beaches available for a relaxing getaway. Neighbouring courses of La Finca and Las Ramblas are just 30 minutes away providing some variety in golf options nearby.
