Infinitum Lakes is one-half of the Infinitum Resorts complex. Both the Lakes and its equivalent course – the Hills – feature 18 holes apiece and are designed to give golf fanatics a premium experience. Together, they’re considered amongst the best golf courses in Costa Daurada (there’s also a 9-hole course onsite called the Infinitum Ruins).
This double course was formally known as the Lumine Golf Course but was rebranded in 2021. The holes remain the same, but a premium eatery was added to the site. As far as Costa Daurada golf holidays go, this is definitely one of the most classy.
Given its name, you can expect plenty of water hazards throughout this course. In fact, it sits partially on top of the Sèquia Major wetlands. 14 holes are affected by water, which is a significant amount, particularly given that there are only 18 holes in total. The marshy setting means this isn’t a course recommended for beginners or high handicap golfers. The greens are generally quite long, too, and require big, powerful shots.
Things get particularly challenging around hole 3, where a small bunker in the fairway causes serious trouble. Hole number 12 challenges even the most experienced of golfers, with its zig-zag layout. The 16th is not only a par 5, but it features water running alongside it the whole way.
Once you’ve completed the 18 holes, you can take on the neighbouring Hills course, where you’ll find more undulations and tree hazards. Overall, Infinitum Lakes should be added to your list of must visit golf resorts in Costa Daurada.
