La Galiana Golf Resort is perfect if you’re looking for modern golf hotels in Valencia. Opened in 2011, this golf course resort features sizeable rooms that look right out onto the golf course and the surrounding valley.Â
The 18-hole, par 72 course is a design collaboration between Felipe Rodriguez and Moon Masters, a Madrid-based company. The course is located one hour away from Valencia and is surrounded by nature. The rolling hills that encircle it give the impression of playing in an arena – they also create the perfect conditions for golf.Â
Like most golf courses in Valencia, the Galiana is well-maintained and fits in with the natural surroundings.Â
The original orography of the landscape has not been altered, so the course features natural undulations throughout. The grass always looks fresh and healthy, as does the natural greenery that surrounds the holes. Orange trees, shrubs, and pines serve as natural hazards. The valley is also home to various bird species, which you’ll be able to spot while playing.Â
It’s a difficult course, and even the most skilled golfers will be presented with new challenges. The 10th hole is notable for being mostly downhill and the fact that the hole is surrounded by water. The 18th hole is the most difficult overall, with its challenging S-shaped fairway.Â
The greens are mostly sloped, making it extremely tricky to land the ball on them. Overall, it’s difficult to pick a signature hole, as they’re each challenging in their own way and terrific views can be found throughout.Â
