Las Ramblas fittingly translates to “the Ravines”, which perfectly describes some stretches of this extreme golf course. If you’re staying at one of the best golf resorts in Costa Blanca but would like to try a course that’s more challenging, unpredictable, and generally fun, you need to try Las Ramblas.
This course cuts through deep ravines, lakes, forests, and even canyons to create a golf course that is best reserved for the pros. While inexperienced golfers can still try Las Ramblas, they may find some stretches of this course frustrating – luckily, there are plenty of other Costa Blanca golf courses to choose from.
This course was designed by Pepe Gancedo, who was known for his inventive golf course layouts. Some of the most challenging holes include the signature hole 4, which requires you to drive your ball across two gorges. Similarly, you must avoid a gorge as you pot on hole 6. The dog legged 7th requires players to pitch across a ravine to reach the elevated green.
Plenty of natural vegetation is scattered across the undulating hills of this course, which at times resembles more of a crazy golf course than a professional one. The leafy pines create an alluring backdrop and, at some stages, you catch some unforgettable glimpses of the Mediterranean.
