Situated in the foothills of the Almenara mountain range and just 10 minutes from the historic town of Lorca and the magnificent beaches of Águilas lies Lorca Golf Resort. Designed by globally renowned golf architect Dave Thomas and Jorge Soler Lorca was opened in 2011. Course features include extensive undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers, vast sweeping fairways and certain excitement on every hole. The course is situated in the middle of native woodlands and is the only golf course in Murcia running alongside a protected natural park!
The Lorca course has now hosted several tournaments, which has consistantly strengthened its position as one of the true favorites in Murcia for both professionals and amateurs alike. Lorca is famous for providing greens of pristine condition and speed, wide forgiving fairways, tees perfectly manicured, and white sandy bunkers that will provide a consistent challenge throughout the course. The course also features a diverse variety of native flora and fauna, which are perfectly in tune with the course and natural environment.
Facility wise Lorca is unrivalled, the practice field is in an exceptional location, surrounded by nature and far from any noise pollution or distractions. The golfer will be able to practice amongst either a 14 matt driving range or 12 grass positions. Located in front of the clubhouse and next to the 1st tee with sweeping views over the Lorca countryside. There is also an exceptional practice green of 300 m2, 9 holes and a short game area where the player can practice all the shots close to the green.
