Real Guadalhorce Golf Club was born in 1987 from the initiative of a group of friends and keen golfers who joined together to create a unique private golf club just outside Malaga.
The clubhouse is a typical 18th century Andalusian country house which adds a touch of elegance and charm to the club. In 2007 the course was redesigned by honoury member and world famous golfer Miguel Ángel Jiménez. The club is located in the center of the Guadalhorce valley, with no surrounding buildings or settlements to interfere with your game.
The topography makes it an easy par 72 for walking, with a shorter and more technical front 9 featuring just two small climbs on holes 1 and 5. The back nine is much longer and includes some tricky water hazards. Surrounded by mediterranean vegetation, the greens are spectacular in design and size, famously fast and very difficult to navigate for even the most proficient putter!
A family friendly atmosphere is one of the main characteristics of Guadalhorce, and despite the club being private, the facilities can be used in the mornings and on weekdays, subject to a prior reservation. In 2017 after 30 years, the club was recognised for having the highest quality golf conditions with a Royal seal of approval by King Felipe VI of Spain.
