Designed by Roland Favret and opened for play in 2000 the Old (South) course at Salobre Golf Resort is 18 holes of a 36-hole golf complex within a residential estate near Maspalomas. The only Resort in the Canary Islands with 27 holes and 2 courses, Salobre has operated for over 12 years meaning everything is pristine, consolidated and well operated.
The Old Course features delightful palm flanked fairways that wind in between classic Canary Island lava outcrops. Tricky undulating tiered greens require absolute precision even for the most adept golfer and several water hazards protect greens providing numerous knee knocking moments. Ron Kirby added additional holes to the property in 2008, creating an 18-hole New course (formerly the North) which complements the original South layout.
