Opened in 1992 and designed by the world famous South African Gary Player, Club Zaudin Golf is a private club that allows visitors to play when tee times permit.
One of five golf courses in Seville, Club Zaudin is located just 15 minutes from the city and is set within the Alcor and elevated high above Seville. This altitude means lower temperatures in summer months which creates a more comfortable climate for a cooler round of golf.
Historically this region is where the first Roman settlers built their summer vacation villas. This classic architecture can be felt throughout the clubhouse. Sitting on the terrace amongst olive trees and mature palms, the spectacular views out over the city provide a truly special ambience.
The course itself provides a challenge for lower handicappers but the wide fairways and larger greens enable mid to high handicappers to enjoy a more forgiving round of golf. The parkland style course includes mature trees, immaculate course condition and pristine lakes and water features.
Club Zaudin Golf features a Par 71 course divided into 3 par 3’s , 11 par 4’s and 3 par 5’s. The yardages and slope ratings are as follows:
White – 6504 Metres – Slope – 130
Yellow – 5869 Metres – Slope – 128
Blue – 5398 Metres – Slope – 127
Red – 4987 Metres – Slope – 124
Signature Hole at Club Zaudin Golf Sevilla
The 17th hole offers not only the most stunning vista but also at S.I 1 the most challenging hole at Zaudin.
The elevated tee position provides a sweeping panorama of the city of Seville stretching out into the distance. The entire left side of the 17th is flanked by a large lake and with 2 smaller lakes on the right side a nervy tee shot beckons.
Low handicappers can take on the challenge with a 240 yards + drive required to open the green to a 2nd shot. Mid to high handicappers are best suited to lay up twice and tackle the green with the 3rd shot.
The approach to the green not only needs to be precise to beat the vast water on the left and short, but to the right or long are 2 smaller lakes and 2 bunkers. This hole is truly difficult.
Walking off the 17th with a bogey is respectable, anything less will be truly memorable and some achievement!
In summary Club Zaudin Golf Sevilla showcases a spectacular setting with year round excellent climate and a challenge in spots for the most talented golfer. However it has to be mentioned that the forgiving nature of the course in several areas makes it a good option for the more amateur and beginner golfer. Located close to Seville, this is great for golfers looking for easy access to a range of fantastic bars and restaurants.
