Son Parc is a great option for a stunning golf break in the Balearics as it’s one of the only resorts to feature its own beach and golf course. While the course may not be the most difficult, Son Parc is a lot of fun for even high handicappers. Plus it was remodelled in 2020, making it feel like a brand new course in great condition.Â
It’s a par 72 and features 18 holes, all of which are surrounded by dense pine forests. The woodland areas of the course are home to a wide range of birdlife and a flock of peacocks live right behind the third green. Over the years, landscapers have sought to maintain the natural appeal of the course as much as possible, and this can definitely be felt while playing. Wild grass and various species of flora can be found growing throughout.Â
The course is generally narrow and flat, made difficult by the 7 lakes found throughout. In fact, many of the holes require you to chip your ball right over the water, the most difficult instance of this being hole number 8.Â
Holes 1, 10, and 13 feature the most intimidating dog legs, while hole 12 boasts one of the most difficult zig zag formations of all Balearics golf resorts!
As with many Balearic golf courses, it’s difficult to pick a signature hole, as all of them are equally as scenic. Behind the forest you can take in views of Monte Toro, which is the island’s highest summit. If visiting Menorca, Son Park is the premier option for a perfect golf getaway.
