The Amendoeira Golf Academy Course is the only floodlit golf course in Portugal, meaning you can continue playing golf even after it gets dark. A par-3, 9-hole golf course, it’s ideal for honing your short game or introducing newcomers to the game. It also serves as the perfect warm-up before playing the other 18-hole courses at Amendoeira Golf Resort.
Every hole has three different tee positions to maximise the variety of play and approach shots that can be attempted for every hole.
Amendoeria Academy Course deals are most likely in December and January when demand is at its lowest. Special deals are available during specific promotional periods.
Amendoeira Academy Golf Course is located in Alcantarilha, in the Algarve. It’s a secluded village away from the larger towns of Vilamoura and Albufeira. That said, both towns are easily accessible by car. Albufeira is just 20 minutes away and Vilamoura is 30 minutes.

The Academy Course is located on the Amendoeira Golf Resort, just North of Alcantarilha. For proximity to the course this is your best option. There’s a wide range of apartments and private villas sympathetically placed around the Faldo and O’Connor Junior golf courses that make up the rest of the complex.
If you’re willing to travel a little further afield, there are some fantastic hotels in Albufeira, Lagos and Portimão, all within 30 minutes of the Academy Course.
