The Faldo Course at Amendoeria Golf Resort represents one of the stiffest tests of any golf course in Portugal. Read on for our full course review, including how to get the best package deals, the cheapest green fees and book tee times.
Green fees range from €75 in the low season (December – January & July – August). Playing in mid-season (February & September) costs €135.
Green fees during the high season (March-May and late September – October) are around €145. Amendoeira Faldo Course green fees include buggy hire.
Twilight green fees range from €70 in the low season, €80 in mid-season and €86 in the high season for those wishing to tee off after 15:30.

Packages will usually include accommodation at the Amendoeira Golf Resort due to its proximity to both the Faldo and O’Connor Junior golf courses. Other accommodations available in package deals include The W Algarve Hotel & Residences.
Other courses included in any package deals can include rounds at Salgados golf course and Gramacho.
The Faldo Course is a Championship Par 72 course and one of the most challenging courses the Algarve has to offer. Set amongst orange groves and scrubland measuring 6406 yards off the yellow tees and 5143 yards from the red tees. For those feeling a little more adventurous, why not play off the gold tees at a staggering 7125 yards?
There are 5 tee positions at Faldo; make sure you pick the one that suits your ability so that you can enjoy the course. Play from too far back, and you simply won’t enjoy it and will lose a lot of golf balls.
The best deals are most likely during the low season of December and January when demand is lowest. There are special offers available during certain promotional periods.

Some of the best deals can be found when taking advantage of the twilight green fees. Book after 15:30 at the end of May, and you can still get a full round of golf before sunset, during high season, for €86 per person. Including buggy hire.
The Faldo Course is located in Alcantarilha, a secluded village away from the larger towns of Vilamoura and Albufeira. That said, both towns are easily accessible by car. Albufeira is just a 20-minute drive away, and Vilamoura 30 minutes.
