Laguna plays 6315 yards off the yellow tees and 5359 yards off the reds. Par is 72. Men require a handicap of 28 to play, and ladies require a handicap of 36.
Whilst water is a feature at Laguna, what you’ll find less of here, are trees. Fairways are wider with fewer obstacles, meaning you can push the limits of your drives off the tee for additional distance.
At 6315 yards, the length of Dom Pedro Laguna is about average, but many of the holes are very gettable for mid-handicappers. Play well, and you can expect a decent number of pars on the scorecard.
The back 9 is touted by many as having the most interesting holes. 11 and 12 are prime examples where you’ll need to navigate around and over a large lake to have any success.
Overall, Dom Pedro Laguna golf course is a perfect venue for mid to high handicappers and larger groups. Couple it with a round at Dom Pedro Millennium, and you’re bound to have an enjoyable experience.
For those lower handicappers, or golfers looking for a greater challenge and variety, you may want to opt for some of Dom Pedro’s other courses. The Old Course, Victoria and Pinhal come to mind.
