There are 3 golf courses in Albufeira, and these are:
Salgados golf course is the best (and only) 18-hole golf course in Albufeira. If you're prepared to drive 15km east to Vilamoura, Dom Pedro Victoria and The Old Course are excellent Championship golf courses of a higher standard than Salgados.
Balaia Golf Course is the best golf course for beginners in Albufeira. No handicap certificate is required to play this nine-hole golf course and all equipment is available to hire.
Dom Pedro Laguna, located in Vilamoura is only 20 minutes drive away and is another excellent option for beginners and higher handicap golfers.
Dom Pedro Millennium and Dom Pedro Laguna are great options for larger groups and societies. Both courses aren't overly challenging, yet have enough holes to test the more serious golfers in the group. Both courses are well set up to cater for larger parties.
Pine Cliffs Golf Course is one of the cheapest golf courses in Albufeira. In the high season, you can play two loops of nine holes for £51.
While Balaia is cheaper per round but doesn't feature full-length holes like Pine Cliffs.
The Faldo golf course is by far the toughest in the Albuefiera area. In fact, it's probably one of the hardest golf courses in the Algarve. If you fancy an easier track, consider the O'Connor Junior course on the same site at the Amendoeira Golf Resort.
